We all adore receiving cards and gifts throughout the year and so do the Zion Nature Center’s animals. This year, throughout the month of December, we are asking children, families and adults to send all our critters warm holiday wishes. Cards can be handmade, store bought, or made with recycled materials. They can be meant for your favorite animal, or you can wish ALL good cheer. You can mail them, drop them off in person, or stop in during our weekend open hours and make a card at our Cards for Critters station. Each card will be shared with our staff…and critters, and then displayed on the Zion Nature Center’s tree. Send your Cards for Critters to: Zion Nature Center 690 Beech Street Zionsville, IN 46077 Want to Spread More Holiday Cheer? Did you know the animals at the Zion Nature Center eat over 10,000 crickets, 780 worms, and 200 mice each year! Add in fruits, vegetables, bedding, lights and filters and it costs over $2,000 a year to keep our animals happy and healthy. We are always happy to accept donations. You can include a donation with your card, or mail it separately to the Zion Nature Center. Make checks payable to: Zionsville Parks and Recreation. Indicate on the check your donation goes to Nature Center Animal Care. Check with your accountant, your donation may be tax deductible.
