STATE OF INDIANA DEEM HARDWARE STORES AS “ESSENTIAL” BUSINESS The State has issued an order for all citizens to “shelter in place” except those in essential jobs. As with many states, Indiana has deemed hardware stores as essential business. For that reason, Akard True Value Hardware & Rentals located in Zionsville will remain open to serve our community during the coronavirus shutdown. True Value hardware stores, all independently owned businesses, play an important role in providing individuals and contractors with the products and services required to keep homes and communities safe, secure and functioning. In many communities, the local hardware store represents the only retail outlet where consumers have access to essential supplies for cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining or repairing their residences. Moreover, local hardware stores have a proven track record of providing essential supplies and support to communities in past emergency situations, such as hurricanes, floods, fires and civil unrest. As the “shelter in place” order go into effect, Akard True Value Hardware & Rentals will stay open to support our community and continue to be a trusted and reliable partner during these challenging times. We have made adjustments to our operations during this time to offer call ahead-curbside pick ups and FREE delivery (some exclusions apply, call store for details).
